SOW Camp Support Scheme
About
This support scheme supports university students in accessing the training, resources, and fellowship opportunities available to them at the annual SOW Training Camp.
It is funded by the generosity of SOW Alumni who seek to enable future generations of university students to have access to these opportunities.
This fund aims to provide 2 first year students with financial support, covering 100% of their camp registration fee.
Student type
HSC graduate of 2024 beginning study at university in Semester 1 2025
Eligibility
This support scheme is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
Year of HSC graduation: 2024
First year of university studies: Semester 1 2025
Campus: USYD, UNSW, UTS, MQU
Application process
Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
Completion of the support scheme application questionnaire
A written statement of no more than 100 words outlining:
- why you want to come to SOW camp
- how receiving this support scheme will assist you.
Selection criteria
Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria:
Written statement
Preference will be given to:
Students with an expected full-time study load
Students indicating financial need i.e. part-time employment
Selection process
The recipients will be selected by the Support Scheme Selection Panel.
This support scheme may be awarded by the Support Scheme Selection Panel prior to the close date.
Terms and conditions
In receiving this support scheme, the student agrees to:
Attend and participate in the activities of SOW Camp 2025 in its entirety
Write a short post-camp reflection and thanks to be used to encourage alumni
Be part of a short-post camp recap video to be used to encourage alumni
